This old Regal is something else. Most old tube amps of this era (50's-60's) have that warm, round tube tone. Not this one. This Regal has BITE. It's not high-gain by any means, but it has a great attack, and puts out an almost grunge-like, spongy breakup when cranked that just feels amazing. She's not loud, but for bedroom use or recording she'll do the job perfectly. Master volume and tone with a 2x6 Marsland speaker layout. The tone knob is very subtle but does affect the attack of the guitar a fair bit. This amp is a rock n' roll machine and will give you some amazing vintage tube crunch or a nice clean shimmer. It reminds me a lot of a Supro 1616T in how it sounds. The crunch is very similar. There are two power tubes, one is hidden behind the transformer. The arrangement seems to mimic a Fender Champ of the 60's. Each input seems to have a slightly different tone which is really fun to play around with. It is unmarked, but I think they are different gains. The amp gets pretty loud and breaks up really nicely. The tone knob is very subtle, but does effect the attack of the guitar a little bit. I personally change the tone of the amp by using the different input gains
