Description

Video Story The Schrittmacher combines the functionality of a software sequencer with the intuitive usability of a classic step sequencer. It is pattern-based, but has 32 tracks (!) Whereby the so-called parameter lines can be notes, midi data and internal parameters as desired. 16 steps are always directly accessible via the encoder (endless controller) in the front panel; they are activated, deleted or muted by simply pressing them. Editing of tones is done via encoder or by incoming midi data and so is flexible transposition of running patterns. Midi notes can also be entered or changed on several parameter lines at the same time, for example to program chord sequences. Additional parameter lines can output midi data in order to control connected devices in real time or to change internal functions of the pacemaker such as dynamic changes in note lengths, direction, sequence or length of the patterns. Perfect timing goes without saying, even with the most complex patterns. All important parameters can be entered and edited directly via the encoder without having to go through the menu; parameter lines can be coupled, muted or looped while the sequencer is running. 32 tracks = parallel parameter lines / pattern lengths 1–16 steps, flexible and dynamic chaining to patterns of any length / external control via midi keyboard and controller / automatic sync function for precise sync even after intense real-time 'editing orgies' to 'one' `/ Loop function, forward, backward, random storage as part of the sequence / ALL sequence and playback parameters can be edited in real time while the sequencer is running / Steps and parameter lines can be edited individually and in groups / 30 presets in FlashROM / 240x128 pixel graphic display with background lighting / 16 Encoder with integrated buttons and multi-color LEDs / 28 buttons mostly with integrated LED. The Manikin Electronics Schrittmacher Sequencer has 32 parameter lines which can be freely configured and linked with each other. Each line has 16 steps which can be edited using the 16 rotary encoders with integrated pushbuttons. Additional 28 pushbuttons allow the user easy processing of the sequences. The 240x128 pixel backlit display ensures that the user always has an overview over the current status of the sequences. By direct access to a number of parameters ideas can quickly and intuitively be translated into action at the studio as well as on stage. The possible connection of a master keyboard for controlling purposes (transposing, use of controllers) allows additional processing of the sequences and grooves.
